Greg’s Auto Body has it’s roots deep in the community of St. Augustine, Florida. Founded in 1978 by Greg and Rosi Oglesby, the original Greg’s was built on SR 207, just about a block from Greg’s Auto Collision’s current location.

A Tradition Continues

Thomas (Tommy) Buckhalter, the current owner, started to work for his dad Greg at age 11. And although the auto body business has changed a lot, the ideals of hard work and striving for perfection are alive and well at Greg’s.

As a young man, Tommy moved to Lakeland, Florida to continue his training. In this central Florida community, Tommy was able to hone his body shop skills in order to better serve his customers of St. Augustine.
In 1994, Greg retired and Tommy returned to his roots. By then, Greg’s had expanded to a 3 bay shop on SR 16 in St. Augustine. And although this shop had three bays, it wasn’t long before Tommy’s business outgrew its quarters. In 1999, Tommy moved Greg’s into the old Napier Body Shop on US 1, one of the first body shops in St. Augustine.
Mostly from word of mouth, the popularity of Greg’s continued to spread, and by 2006, even 8 bays was not enough. This time, Tommy found a convenient location with over 14,500 square feet of shop space. This large shop area with an open floor plan makes it easier to handle more vehicles and return them to service rain or shine.
People and equipment make all the difference in the body shop business, and Greg’s has the best of both. His technicians are all I-Car and ASE certified. And Greg’s is proud to be both a Nationwide on Your Side Network Shop as well as an Allstate Good Hands Network repair shop.
Among the many pieces of high-tech equipment you’ll find at Greg’s there are:

  • 3 drive-on Unibody full frame straighteners
  • 1 paint booth
  • 1 Spanesi Touch Digital Measuring Systems

Greg’s is proud to be the manager for many auto fleet companies and a good number of car manufacturers.
When only the best will do, why not make Greg’s Your Collision Decision?
